Privacy policy
Effective 30 September 2026. It describes what this service actually records, checked against the code that records it. A change to this policy changes that date.

Reading the site, without an account
No cookie is set. There is no analytics script, no tracking pixel and nothing that runs in your browser to identify you. What is written down is one aggregated counter row per UTC day:
| Network | Your IP address truncated to a network prefix before it is stored: the first three octets for IPv4 (203.0.113.0/24) or the first 48 bits for IPv6. The full address is never written to our database. It does reach our hosting and edge providers in the course of serving the request, as it must for any web request. |
| Reverse DNS | The name that network resolves to, where it resolves to one. For most readers there is none. |
| User agent | The user-agent string your browser or script sends. |
| Route | Which kind of page or endpoint was asked for, not the full address and not which launch you looked up. |
| Counts | How many requests that row represents, and the first and last time it was seen that day. |
Rows are aggregated, so one row covers every request sharing that day, route, network, origin and user agent. Crawler and agent traffic is counted deliberately: machines reading the record are part of what these pages exist to measure.
If you create a free account
| What is kept | The email address you give, lower-cased; a random account id that is never derived from your email; the date you signed up and the network prefix it came from; when you confirmed the address; and when you were last seen. |
| Cookie | Signing in sets one cookie, cot_s. It holds your account id and a signature of it, nothing else. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, six months. There is no server-side session table. |
| Allowance | Which lists you have revealed, with the time and network prefix, because the allowance is capped per account and per network. |
If you buy something
| Payment | Stripe takes the payment. We never see or store your card details. We keep the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, the plan, and when it started and ended. |
| API keys | Stored as a hash plus the first eight characters, so a key can be named without the secret. The secret cannot be recovered from what we hold. Usage is counted per key per UTC day. |
| Paying per call | An x402 payment settles in USDC on Solana through a payment facilitator. Transactions on a public chain are public by nature. We hold no mapping between a wallet and a person. |
If you set a watch
We keep the email address to send to, what you asked to watch, when you asked, and a record of each alert sent, so the same alert is not sent twice. Alerts are delivered by our email provider.
Who else sees it
Service providers, each seeing only what its job requires: hosting and the database (Railway), DNS and edge delivery (Cloudflare), payments (Stripe), email delivery (Resend, on Amazon SES), and x402 settlement (Coinbase Developer Platform). We do not sell or rent personal data. There is no advertising network, no third-party analytics, no cross-site tracking and no profile of a reader. We disclose data otherwise only where the law requires it.
How long it is kept
Aggregated counter rows, account records and subscription history are kept indefinitely as the operating record of the service. A subscription that lapses is marked ended rather than erased, because what happened is history. Ask us at hello@chainoftitle.org to delete your account, your email address or a watch and we will, and we will tell you what we removed. The published register itself records Solana launches, not people, and it is not altered on request; where the record needs a correction it is made on the corrections page, in public.
Asking us about your data
Write to hello@chainoftitle.org. We will tell you what we hold that is connected to your email address, correct it, or delete it. If you are in a place with statutory data rights, exercise them at the same address and we will answer in the manner those rules require.
Children
This service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly hold data about them.
Changes
A change to this policy changes the date at the top. Chain Of Title LLC is the controller of the data described here. See also the terms of service and data licence.
